Fitness Profile

Hello…my wonderfully, fantastical wellness students!  Please take a moment to thank Mr. Pagano for subbing for me today when you get a chance.  If you don't know him yet, he's our Athletic Director and a fantastic person!

Here's what the plan is.

Please create a "fitness profile" for yourself.  I'd like you to assess the following:

1. Cardiovascular (Aerobic) capacity:  (This would be a Pacer or Mile test)

  1. What was your score?
  2. Were you satisfied with your score?
  3. What is your goal for our Christmas test?  How about our end of the year test?
2.  Abdominal Strength:  (Our sit up test)
  1. What was your score?
  2. Satisfied?
  3. Goals?
3.  Upper body strength:  (Push ups)
  1. Score?
  2. Satisfied?
  3. Goals?
4.  Flexibility:  (Sit and Reach)
  1. We haven't tested this one yet, but most of you know if you're flexible or not.
    1. What can you do to increase your flexibility if you need?
    2. Would this help you as a person?
    3. What could be some issues if you aren't flexible?
5.
**WRITE:  This is your chance for personal reflection/assessment for the PHYSICAL YOU.
Please assess where you are at with your personal fitness.  This is NOT a time to put yourself down, think poorly about yourself…etc…etc.  It is easy to put ourselves down.  That doesn't help us!  :)

So….. What to do?   This is a time to write down several activities that would address any physical limitation/weakness that you have.  (example:  walk two miles each day to increase my aerobic capacity and lose weight).

Please take a screen shot (or multiple shots) of your work and turn it in by the end of class.  We will do more later to actually build a fitness PLAN.  This is just a PROFILE.
